Privacy policy

Veezeet Inc. runs Veezeet, a trip planner and travel diary. This page says what we keep, what the Veezeet connector for Claude and ChatGPT reads and writes on your behalf, who else sees it, and how you get it out or deleted.

What the connector does

The Veezeet connector lets an assistant (Claude or ChatGPT) work on your own Veezeet trips, signed in as you. It has no access to anything else in the assistant, and the assistant has no access to your Veezeet account beyond what you approve when you add the connector.

What it reads

  • Your trips, owned and shared with you: destination, dates, days, places, stays, options and votes, reservations, notes, to-dos, packing list, comments, and the people on the trip.
  • What is new for you since your last visit, and your notification preferences for a trip.
  • Public place information (names, addresses, opening hours) from our places data.

What it writes

  • Changes you ask the assistant to make: creating or editing a trip, its days, places, stays, options, votes, reservations, notes, to-dos and list entries; inviting someone to a trip; turning a trip's public link on or off; deleting a trip.
  • A note to the Veezeet team, only when you ask the assistant to send one.
  • A record of each change, attributed to the assistant that made it, so you can see it and undo it. We also record which assistant (Claude or ChatGPT) made a change, to count how the connector is used.
  • Deleting a trip needs your confirmation in Veezeet. The assistant cannot confirm it for you.

What the connector never does

  • It never books, buys or pays for anything. Reservations in Veezeet are records you or the assistant type in.
  • It never reads your photos or diary through the connector.
  • It never sells your data.

What we keep, apart from the connector

Your account (name, email, sign-in method), the trips, diaries and photos you create, and basic usage data of the web and mobile apps. Sign-in is handled by Clerk.

Who else sees it

Our service providers process data only to run Veezeet: Clerk (sign-in), Amazon Web Services (hosting), PostHog (product analytics) and Crisp (support chat). Someone you invite to a trip sees that trip, with the role you give them. Anyone with a trip's public link sees what that link shows, until you turn it off.

What an assistant does with what it reads from Veezeet is governed by that assistant's own privacy policy (Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for ChatGPT).

Your choices

  • Disconnect the connector at any time in Claude or ChatGPT settings. Veezeet then stops accepting its requests.
  • Delete a trip in Veezeet. Ask us to export or delete your account and data by writing to the address below.
  • Under the GDPR you may also ask for access, correction, restriction or portability, and complain to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
